DRO Receives
Veteran-owned Small
Business Designation

Barry Polley, Program Manager, Education Programs, has successfully
completed a campaign to have DRO recognized by the United States Small
Business Administration (SBA) and the United States Department of Veterans
Affairs, otherwise known as the Veterans Administration (VA), as a
Veteran-owned small business (VOSB).

This important designation means that DRO is automatically considered for
award of government contracts, many of which are set aside for VOSB firms.  We
have already begun to receive electronic notification of contact opportunities,
based on our pre-qualification in the areas of project management, technical
documentation, and training.

Why is VOSB Status Important?

VOSB status is not only important to government customers, but to
non-government customers, too.  Even current customers may be interested to
know that we have VOSB status, because supplier diversity is an important
measure to the customers we deal with every day.  Please inform your
Purchasing organization of our VOSB status.

Whether your company is already a customer, or you are considering us as a
potential supplier, we want you to know that we are a member of this important
segment of American technology companies.  Likewise, it is important to us to
maintain a similarly diverse set of suppliers to work with us.  If you have VOSB or
other qualified measures for special consideration, please include that
information in your initial contact with us.
